Welcome to the Office of International Students and Visiting Scholars (OISVS) at ACU! Numerous services are provided to all students at ACU, including the ones through Wildcat Central. In addition, the OISVS provides services specific to international students including, but not limited to, the ones listed below. We are happy to serve you in any way that we can!

Complimentary Airport Pick-up
We offer complimentary airport pick-up from the Abilene Regional Airport (ABI) for all new international students on arrival. Please note: you must include all flight and arrival information for ABI when you submit an online form.

Wildcat Week and Wildcat Open House
All new undergraduate students should attend Wildcat Week and Wildcat Open House for a full introduction to life at ACU while beginning friendships with other new students, faculty and staff. 

Additionally, INTL 101 is a required orientation session held at the beginning of each fall and spring semester for all new international students. 

On-Campus Housing for ACU Students
On-campus housing is provided through residence halls (for first- and second-year students) and in University Park Apartments for students in or beyond their third year of college, are 21 or older or have been out of high school for two or more years. Students who are eligible to live off campus and choose to do so are responsible for arranging their own housing. Student Activities
There are more than 100 student organizations to be involved with. The International Students' Association is an open group that hosts many activities, including an annual culture show, an annual spring trip, weekly chapel meetings, etc. We encourage all students to be involved in ISA and other organizations and activities. Participating is a great way to improve your English skills while meeting other students!

Transportation Services

The Office of International Students and Visiting Scholars provides transportation services for certain purposes which include the following:

• Walmart/Grocery Shopping
• Doctor’s Appointments (circumstantial)
• Applying for a Texas Drivers License/ID at the DPS office
• Applying for a Social Security Number at the SS office
• Banking
• Airport

All transportation requests must be submitted at least 48 hours (not including weekends) before the requested trip date. Please also be informed that the OISVS office can only accommodate transportation requests scheduled for trips during regular office hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.).
