Student Activities

International Dinner - Friday nights throughout the academic year, the Green family hosts a dinner for all international students at 2500 Lincoln Ave. The dinner is free of cost and provides a great opportunity to meet and fellowship with other international students from both ACU and HSU. Following dinner, there is a time of worship and a short devotional.

Transportation is provided by the OISVS office. Pick up times are 5:45 PM at the back patio of Nelson Hall and 5:50 PM at the University Park Clubhouse. After the event, students will be dropped off at those same locations.

Ethnos Cultural Production - Produced by the International Students’ Association for over two decades, this is a showcase of international cultures and creativity for the ACU, as well as the larger Abilene community. The show includes students’ performing dances, songs, and other forms of cultural and artistic expression from countries all over the world. See more information about participating in an ACT or as a VOLUNTEER here.

International Food Festival -In the spring semester, food from all over the world prepared by our international students is showcased with over 300 in attendance, and over a dozen countries’ cuisines! It is an incredible occasion of eating, playing games, and diving deep into learning about other countries’ traditions and meals.

Spring Escape  - An exciting weekend tradition away from campus filled with games, nature hiking, archery tag, delicious fire-roasted s’mores, and more! As one of the last events of the year, students enjoy making lasting memories together away from the classroom, as well as meeting a friend or two along the way.

Spring Banquet - A glamorous evening honoring the graduating senior class, passing the baton to the new ISA officer team, and celebrating the past year of achievements. The spring banquet is a delightful formal event where students dine, celebrate, and think back on the highlights of the year together. With a delicious meal and the finest attire to match, it’s an event you wouldn’t want to miss!

Weekly Chapels - A weekly small group chapel every Thursday for all students to engage in worship, share their stories, and gather in community. Chapel credit is provided. You can find more information on our weekly chapel and other chapel opportunities here.
