Credit Requirements

Undergraduate students under the age of 25 are required to earn 20 Spiritual Formation Event Credits for the fall semester of 2020 of full-time enrollment (12 or more hours). Exemptions may be granted to students who meet the exemption criteria which you can find here. All COVID related exemptions will be submitted through your academic advisor and a request to apply for COVID related exemptions may be submitted here, or you can contact your academic advisor directly. 

A typical student would need to earn an average of 2 credits per week for 14 weeks of the semester to complete his/her requirement.

• The 11:20-11:50 am time slot is reserved for daily chapel experiences on Tuesdays and Thursdays at ACU. Many students will choose to attend Small Group Chapels two days per week at various times during the week to earn most of their credits.
• Other approved Spiritual Formation events are offered each week at times other than 11:20-11:50 am. These programs are approved in advance by the Spiritual Formation/Chapel Office and are listed on the SFE Calendar.

Spiritual Formation Event Schedule and Attendance Procedures for COVID

Small Group Chapels of all sizes and interests are permitted to meet on Tuesday & Thursdays from 11:20 to 11:50 am. A detailed list of these events can be found on the SFE Calendar.

Community Groups are committed to relearning how to follow Jesus. These groups will be composed of 6-8 students led by a faculty/staff member and 1-2 student leaders. To join a community group, complete the following form.
