Outgoing Mail/Packages

1. Can I ship mail and packages internationally?

We offer international services through DHL, FedEx and USPS. DHL services are only limited to government and legal documents. All international packages are required to have a custom form. For more information, please see a Mail Services employee.

2. Where can I obtain custom forms?

Mail Services is able to print custom forms for DHL and USPS packages. However, for your convenience, you can complete and pay for your custom forms prior arriving to the Mail Services window. You can go to USPS Custom Forms to complete and pay for your international package. For further questions about custom forms, you can contact Mail Services at 325-674-2148.

3. What is Stamped Mail and Campus Mail?

Stamp Mail refers to mail that has postage and stamp already applied on the letter. Campus mail refers to internal mail that needs to be delivered to a different department. Mail that needs postage using FOAP as a form of payment is also considered campus mail.

4. What is Metered Mail/Bulk mail?

Metered mail and bulk mail are letters that needs postage in order for it to be mailed out. Departments will need to attach a FOAP with their metered and bulk mail. Please select Domestic or International FOAP slips when you attach them to your mail.

5. What are restricted items that ACU Mail Services will not accept?

ACU Mail Services follow certain guidelines as well as regulated guidelines from shipping carriers. Restricted items are such (but not limited to): alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, tobacco, illegal drugs, weapons (guns, knives, military grade weapons), biochemicals, medications, live animals and specimen. Mail Services will refuse any drop-off or outbound mail and packages that do not meet shipping criteria or restricted items.

6. Will my package ship the day of?

Mail and packages are expected to go out the day of when the package is paid for. However, if a package is dropped off or paid after the shipping carrier has already picked up for the day, mail and packages will go out the following business day.
