Summer Housing Options

Extending Summer Housing

We are excited to be offering extended summer housing for current freshmen and sophomores enrolled in courses for Summer 2021! We will be utilizing Barret Hall for Summer Sessions I and II (May 7th-June 17th). Students wishing to stay on campus for the full summer (May 7th-July 31st) will be given the options of the University Park Apartments (based on availability) or Smith-Adams. Extended summer housing is on a first come, first served basis. Current residential students will be able to stay in their current space following finals week and then will move over to their summer assignment on May 14th-15th. See below for additional details around our summer housing options.

Summer l & Summer ll (May 7th-June 17th): Barret Hall
The cost of each summer session is $400, or $800 for both summer sessions. Students staying in Barret will be assigned to a private room and bath for the summer. Please note that current Barret residents may need to move to a new space within Barret for the summer. See here for more information about Barret Hall.

Full Summer (May 7th-July 31st): UP (Based on Availability) or Smith-Adams UP: The University Park Apartments has two unit types available for summer housing (two bed/two bath or four bed/two bath). Information about unit types, amenities, and rates can be found here. Students will be paying based on the unit they choose and its availability for the summer. Please note that we will have very limited availability in UP so students may not be approved. Also note that you may be assigned with a random roommate who is already living over at UP. We will do our best to meet any roommate requests, but they are not guaranteed. Any student who is not approved to stay in UP will be able to stay in Smith-Adams for the entirety of the summer.

Smith-Adams: We will be offering two options for students wishing to stay in Smith-Adams. Students who would like a double room with a roommate will be charged $1,000 for the summer, and students who would like a private room will be charged $1,500 for the summer.

Please see here for more information about Smith-Adams Hall.

We are happy to work with students who will be moving back into the residence hall following their stay at Smith-Adams or UP, and we look forward to a smooth transition into the fall semester! Please keep in mind that dining options on campus will be closed for the summer, and you will need to provide your own food. Students staying in the UP apartments will have kitchen spaces that can be used for this purpose. Smith/Adams has a large community kitchen that is available for students living there. On campus dining options will resume in the fall.
