ACU ACM SIGCHI (Association for Computing Machinery) The ACU chapter of SIGCHI welcomes students who want to learn more about making usable technology. It also offers students the opportunity to conduct research in this field. Academic
ACU Chess Club The ACU Chess Club is a student activity organization devoted to promoting the game of chess in the ACU and broader Abilene community. The club creates spaces for casual play, participates in organizer intra- and intercollegiate chess events, and organizes volunteer opportunities for club members interested in promoting scholastic chess in local schools. ACU Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) Informs, supports, and inspires college students to be entrepreneurial and seeks opportunity through enterprise creation. CEO is the premier global entrepreneurship network, serving more than 20,000 students through 400 chapters at colleges and universities. Academic
ACU Cycling Club CLUB SPORT Club Sports
ACU Democrats We are the on campus affiliate with Texas Democrats and Taylor Country Democrats. Our goal is to foster political community on campus by encouraging students to vote, hosting registration drives, informing voters and hosting engaging speakers on our campus. Special Interest
ACU for Life Abilene Christian University's pro-life organization. We are passionate about serving God by protecting all human life. Special Interest
ACU Lighthouse Helps our members maturely express their beliefs, provides a student symbol of active Catholicism at ACU and unifies students through fellowship, Mass, and other events and activities. We also strive to ease the challenges of Catholic ideals and teachings resulting in the transition from home life to college life. Special Interest
ACU Percussion Ensemble and Steelband A single organization that offers both music majors and non-majors the opportunity to perform a wide range of musical styles and genres. In the category of percussion ensemble music, the group performs everything from standard literature to brand-new compositions. Performing Arts
ACU Riding Club To assist Abilene Christian University, the Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (A&E) Department, and the Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Club in our mission of training young men and women in Christian service and leadership in the fields of equine related activities and the Church. ACU Roundnet Club ACU Roundnet Club trains, coaches, and competes in the sport of Roundnet while serving the Lord and striving for Christ likeness. Special Interest
ACU Undergraduate Scholars The purpose of the ACU Undergraduate Scholars honor society will be to promote interest and participation in research and other professional-quality scholarship by undergraduate students at ACU. Such scholarship includes original work in all fields represented by academic departments at ACU and other accredited universities. We are comprised of undergraduate students guided by ACU staff and faculty members from a broad range of majors and disciplines, and our goal is to promote scholarship on campus and beyond through presentations, social events, and planning and service to the annual ACU Undergraduate Research Festival. Alpha Chi National College Honor Society A national organization that recognizes and honors the top 10% of ACU graduate and undergraduate scholars and that seeks to provide service to campus and community, to recognize and encourage undergraduate and graduate scholarship, and to host scholarly events on the ACU campus and/or in the Abilene Community. Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD) To promote excellence in scholarship in the study of sociology, the research of social problems and such other social and intellectual activities as will lead to improvement in the human condition. Honors
Alpha Psi Omega A national honors society dedicated to providing service to the growth of young theatre artists. Honors
American Enterprise Institute Executive Council (AEI) " ACU’s AEI Executive Council seeks to promote the main mission of the American Enterprise Institute, which is to defend human dignity, expand human potential, and build a freer and safer world. ACU’s American Enterprise Institute (AEI) Executive Council seeks to promote substantive conversations about public policy on campus by hosting events and activities throughout the year. We often host lectures or discussions with AEI scholars or local professors, private dinners with scholars, business professionals, or government officials, reading groups; and film viewings. American Marketing Association ACU’s American Marketing Association (AMA) chapter mission is to build a marketing community by providing real world experiences, practicing integrity, faith, and leadership to leave a lasting impact worldwide. AMA allows students to grow their professional network and personal brand through marketing networking events and business visits across several industries. Special Interest
ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) Leads designs that serve human needs through solutions for the built environment. Academic
Association of Christians in Architecture Fostering relationships that encourage and empower architecture students and practitioners to manifest the truth of Christ in their vocations. Special Interest
Athletic Training Student Organization We, the students of the Athletic Training Student Organization strive to educate those who are looking to advance their knowledge and experience in the Athletic Training field while expanding our program in a Christian environment as a unified camaraderie of Athletic Training students. Our goals are to prepare students to enter a Master’s program in Athletic Training, and to inform others of the responsibilities we undertake. We expand our learning through the Athletic Training staff, team physicians, and those who came before us. We aim to foster the advancement of Athletic Training responsibilities in students, as well as leadership, loyalty, and professional qualities. Academic

Best Buddies ACU Best Buddies purpose is to be an organization that provides an inclusive environment for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Big Purple Marching Band A dynamic and exciting ensemble comprised of both music majors and non-music majors. The band is a vital part of the ACU Opening Assembly each year, and performs at all home football games. Performing Arts

Delight Ministries Delight seeks to establish a college women’s community that grows together, serves together, learns together, and does life together while chasing the heart of God. Delight is intentional about learning from one another through stories and experiences while potentially discovering or continuing to grow in relationships with Christ. Delight exists to be a place where any ACU collegiate woman can come and grow in relationships with others, ask difficult questions, and find a strong community of Christians and non-Christians alike. FilmFest Abilene Christian University’s FilmFest is a student film festival designed to give those interested in film production and the motion picture and entertainment industries a creative outlet at ACU and inroads into the industry through alumni and industry professionals that serve as judges for the event. International Student Association The mission of the International Students' Association is to cultivate a community that would help integrate and support international students to grow at ACU. We strive to be a Christ-like community in which students can grow together spiritually, academically and socially. Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo Comprised of 16-19 student both music and non-music majors. The ensemble performs many different styles of music and has an active performance schedule on and off campus. Membership is open to all students through an audition process. Performing Arts

Mu Sigma Seeking to raise the level of mathematical awareness on campus, provide students an outlet for engaging in mathematics, and promote relationships among students who share a common interest in mathematics. Academic
National Association of Hispanic Journalists The purpose of the Abilene Christian University chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists is to empower students of diverse cultural heritage to pursue excellence in journalism and mass communication. Academic
National Society Of Black Engineers To promote minority interest in the STEM fields at Abilene Christian, while representing the Christian values our university upholds. Academic
NSSLHA National organization for students interested in the study of normal and disordered human communication behavior. Provides opportunities for majors to learn more about speech-language pathology, to interact with professionals and participate in pre-professional learning activities. Academic
Omega Dance Company Encourages and explores the expression of faith and creativity through dance in a Christian environment. Also provides a forum at ACU for dancers to use the gifts that they have been blessed with to glorify God. Dancers are encouraged, educated, and held to high standards of moral values. Phi Eta Sigma This is our local chapter of Phi Eta Sigma which is a national academic honor society. Students are invited to join based on their first-year academic performance and induction occurs in the fall semester following student's first year. Honors

Red Thread Movement A student initiative to combat sexual slavery by raising awareness and funds. We sell Red Thread bracelets made by girls in Nepal and plan events to advocate anti-trafficking within the United States and worldwide. Special Interest
Safe Haven Safe Haven gives students many opportunities for friendship, growth, and an avenue for one to disclose any feelings of anxiety, worry or depression that one might be feeling that week in order to help them deal with the pain that comes with carrying these feelings. It serves students at Abilene Christian University through Christian teaching, nurture, outreach, and activities. The purpose of this organization is to create a place of belonging for the students of Abilene Christian University as well as a place where they can learn and grow in their relationship with God. While also helping everyone deal with the everyday stresses and anxieties that come with being a college student today as well as any other negative feelings they might have during the school year. Student Accounting Organization (SAO) The Student Accounting Organization is a group for accounting majors that is student led and supported by the ACU accounting faculty. Its purpose is to help accounting students prepare for their futures, network with peers and professionals, and provide opportunities to learn more about their field and the career options accounting has to offer. Student Alumni Association Serves as ambassadors to the student body on behalf of the ACU Alumni Office as official hosts at selected university and alumni-related events, specifically those targeting students. The Student Alumni Association also sponsors activities to increase student awareness of the role alumni play in the university, and aims to instill the spirit of tradition, volunteerism and philanthropy among students and future alumni. Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics To promote professions in nutrition and dietetics and the dietetics professional as the expert in nutrition. To serve students and the wider public by providing valid nutrition information and services. Special Interest
Student Association of School Psychology Educates students on current issues in the school of psychology, garners interest in the profession of the school of psychology, and organizes community events to serve in a fashion consistent with our Christian beliefs and the mission of ACU. Academic

Student Production’s A Cappella Groups ACU A Cappella Groups are composed of four individual groups: Hilltop, Daybreak, Grace Note, and Foundation. We as a community strive to offer a safe and supportive environment for students with a passion for singing. By providing a unique and expanded opportunity for ACU students to participate in a singing group, we aim to further expand the a cappella opportunities offered on campus. Special Interest
Student Social Work Association The Student Social Work Association (SSWA) is open to all interested undergraduate and graduate social work students and other ACU students as well. The students meet regularly to plan events, such as the Second Chance Dance or the Chickasaw Nation Spring Break Trip, learn from local social work professionals, and engage with each other and the community. Swing Cats Promotes and sustains interest in pre-1950 U.S. social swing dance culture, such as music, dress, and period-accurate dance styles. Our main dance goals will focus on East Coast swing, Lindy Hop, and Charleston. Performing Arts
The Shinnery Review ACU's annual student-produced literary magazine, offers students the opportunity for hands-on experience in soliciting work, making editorial decisions, and marketing a publication. ACU Language and Literature majors serve on the magazine's staff. Special Interest

VOICE Voice is Abilene Chirstian University’s only LGBTQ+ support peer group on campus. Our goal is to support, educate, and inspire people about the balance between sexuality and spirituality through kindness, clarity, and respect. We are not a political group nor do we take any particular political stances. What we are is a place for people who are LGBTQ+, who support the LGBTQ+ community, or who want to learn more about what it means to be LGBTQ+ to come together in Christian love, community, and conversation. Weekend Campaigns We’re a student run organization that participate in 3-4 “service projects” a semester at various non profits in Texas. It’s student led and a great opportunity for fellowship between peers and allows students to experience service and lead in their own way. Special Interest
