Meet the Dean
Sarah Lee serves as the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the College of Graduate and Professional Studies at Abilene Christian University. Sarah joined the university in 2011 as a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, after finishing her PhD at Colorado State University in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Her doctoral research focused on gene expression in model organisms. In Abilene, she taught undergraduate Biochemistry and Introduction to Chemistry courses for seven years and mentored over a dozen undergraduate research students. In 2016, she served as the founding director for the 20/20 Teaching Innovation Grant Program at ACU. She joined the Dallas campus in the summer of 2017, serving as the Assistant Dean for Administration. In this role, she focused on the development and launch of undergraduate programs, providing leadership and vision at the campus, program and course-level.
Sarah is passionate about educational outreach and accessibility. She has overseen the development of university-school partnership programs aimed at encouraging middle school students to pursue STEM fields in both Colorado and Texas. As the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs in CGPS she brings leadership and passion for non-traditional students.
