Whether you want to teach, conduct, perform, or pursue graduate studies, a degree in music prepares you for a rewarding career using your God-given talent. ACU’s Department of Music offers several distinct degree options; choose the one that best meets your personal and professional goals:

  • The Bachelor of Arts in Music is a general degree in the liberal arts tradition with a larger number of electives.
  • The Bachelor of Music with teacher certification is designed for those wishing to teach in a school setting.
  • The Bachelor of Music in vocal performance is designed to prepare students for graduate study and pursue a career as a performer.
  • The Music Minor is designed for students who wish to study music at the college level while pursuing their primary major.
Note: Auditions are required for departmental scholarships. Major and non-major scholarships are available for band, orchestra, piano, and voice. (Participation scholarships for the Big Purple Marching Band do not require an audition.)
