Baptist Studies Center

The Baptist Studies Center exists to provide resources and training for Baptist congregations and ministry students. Presently, the work of the Baptist Studies Center consists of two foci:

 1) Concentration in Baptist Studies

The Baptist Studies Center will offer a concentration in Baptist Studies that includes two courses—Baptist History, and Baptist Polity and Theology--which would pair with the Master of Divinity degree to prepare students for ministry in the Baptist church. Additionally, the Center will provide vocational discernment and mentoring to Baptist students and work closely with Baptist ministry partners to facilitate field education placements. Students will enroll in the Graduate School of Theology, with the courses in History, and Polity and Theology substituting for appropriate upper-level courses in their degree program.

2) Resources in Baptist Theology and Ministry

The Baptist Studies Center will assist churches in resourcing various questions in Baptist polity and theology. The Center is available both to provide teaching and preaching assistance, and to help churches locate resources appropriate for congregational issues.
