Kent is the advisor for Accounting and Finance majors. He also runs the Discovery Program, which helps students make informed decisions about their careers and majors based on their interests, values, and personalities. Kent came to ACU (from Buena Vista, Colorado) as a freshman in 2005. He completed his Bachelor's in Psychology in 2009, his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2011, and is now a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor in Family Studies and Learning Strategies courses. During his academic career at ACU, he played baseball, served on the Student Association, and worked part-time in youth ministry.

Kent loves working with the students of ACU because he feels like he was well taken care of while he was a student and wants to make sure all of the students he interacts with can have the same connection to the University. He and his wife, Heather have been married for eight years and have three children; Archer (2), David (3), and Hailey (20). Kent and Heather added Hailey to their family when she was 12 and she is now a Junior Social Studies Education Major at ACU. Kent deeply enjoys the outdoors and the ability to enjoy God's creation. Among other things, he loves camping, hiking, fishing, golf, and baseball.
