Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT)

The field of Information Technology is growing quickly, with specialty areas such as cyber security analysts expected to grow 28% through 2026.

The MSIT from ACU Online is designed for the working IT professional, who holds an undergraduate degree in IT. Non-IT working professionals and career changers are also invited to enroll in the MSIT, where they will complete prerequisite IT coursework prior to beginning the MSIT program.

With five courses in cyber security, our MSIT is designed around this central pillar of technology, and provides instruction that runs parallel to professional certifications. The MSIT courses are industry aligned, equipping students to be high performers in the field of IT.

Admission Requirements

  • Application and fee.
  • Official Baccalaureate transcript.
  • GPA of 3.0 and no work experience OR GPA between 2.5-2.95 with quality full-time work experience. Case-by-care decision process.
  • Course prerequisites for admission to the program include programming, databases, networking, and statistics.
  • Purpose statement addressing career goals.
  • No GRE or GMAT required.
  • Resume or CV.
  • International applicants will be required to provide TOEFL scores (if applicable) and transcript assessment for degrees completed outside of the United States.
