Give to the Library

  • Fundraising

    Library Reading Commons Project
This project is funded by a generous gift from Ray Hansen (’53) in memory of his beloved wife, Nancy (Waters ’53). When completed this summer, the new space will be named Nancy and Ray Hansen Reading Commons.  This Reading Commons will be full of new and recommended books and periodicals, new shelving, comfortable seating and tables and good lighting. A presentation space will support special literary events, including poetry readings, book signings and celebrations of faculty publications.

    Library Forum Project
ACU Library seeks support to fund renovation of the east side of the top floor to create the ACU Library Forum. This area already offers natural lighting and beautiful ACU views from its bay windows as it accommodates students for solo and group study, as well as the future potential to host department gatherings, meetings and conferences.

    Maker Lab Expansion Project
In an effort to place community and student learning at the heart of design, we aspire to renovate the entire west side of the main floor of the library - offering expansion and enhancement of Maker Lab facilities in order to grow and fully realize a public school outreach program.

    Library Special Collections and Archives
To support continued growth of its archives, Special Collections is seeking $200,000 in funding to purchase high-density shelving for its collections area. To preserve historic film of church services and television programs broadcast by the Herald of Truth, and to make the programs available for teaching and learning, Special Collections is seeking $250,000 to fund conversion of at-risk film to digital form.

    New furnishings project
We are eager to replace worn out furnishings, and bring the very best teaching and learning spaces to ACU Library. New furnishings will include:
    Two-tone lounge chairs
    Single and double study desks
    Privacy desks

    Equipment, Materials, and Books
Give to the Friends of Library Endowment today!  Your contribution supports academic excellence of the library, provides for acquisition and maintenance of rare collections and archival materials, enriches our information resources, strengthens our ability to offer innovative programming, and so much more.
