Student Life has assembled a subcommittee to oversee and approve all student activities and events this fall, including organization gatherings, and rushing and pledging activities. When appropriate safety and distancing protocols can be followed, we intend to approve events. We will also encourage holding as many events outdoors as possible. 

Special events include, but are not limited to, formals, socials, events involving travel outside the city limits, events involving minors, and events outside the normal scope of day-to-day organization activities. Failure to register special events may lead to sanctions for the organization, which could include loss of recognition status. Events where traveling outside of the Abilene city limits must be registered 4 weeks prior to the event date, all in town events must be registered 1 week prior to the event date.
