What hours is the Medical Clinic Open?
The Medical Clinic is open in the Fall and Spring semesters Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30 p.m.

The clinic is closed evenings, weekends and all major holidays observed by ACU. Please refer to Mental Health Services for the psychiatrists hours.

Where can I go if I am sick during the night or weekend?

We are proud to offer Wildcat Care, a 24/7 online telehealth option that is free to currently enrolled students. Simply log in to Wildcat Care to visit with a licensed medical provider within minutes! You will receive a diagnosis and treatment plan and any necessary prescriptions will be sent to the pharmacy of your choice.

Do I need to make an appointment to come into the Medical Clinic?
Yes, you may schedule an appointment by using our Medical Clinic Patient Portal. Simply log into myACU, go to Quicklinks, and choose "Medical Clinic Patient Portal." Click on the "Appointments" tab in order to schedule an appointment.
You may also schedule an appointment in person or by calling 325-674-2625. Patients can usually see the nurse practitioner within 24 hours, or the psychiatrist within two weeks. In order to provide the best care possible, we are unable to accept walk-in visits.

Can I get a flu shot at the Medical Clinic?
Yes, the flu vaccine will be available annually until supplies are gone. This is on a first come-first serve basis. A campus wide announcement will be made when flu shots are available, usually in September or October depending on manufacturer availability.

Is the meningococcal (meningitis) vaccine mandatory?
According to Texas law, ALL entering, transfer, graduate, and readmitted students under the age of 30 who live on campus OR off campus must have the meningococcal (meningitis) vaccine at least 10 days prior to school entry, but no more than 5 years prior to school entry. Valid proof of vaccination must be supplied for students to enroll in classes. Please refer to the ACU Immunization Policy for more information.

Can the medical provider treat all of my health problems? 
Our medical providers practice primary care, and treat all common health related problems encountered by college students. Referrals are made to specialists when appropriate.
