HESI A2 Entrance Exam

Student's who wish to enroll in ACU's nursing program must take the HESI A2 entrance exam. The exam consists of six different sections: Reading Comprehension, Math, Grammar, Vocabulary, Learning Styles, and Personality Profile. The exam fee is $50 per test attempt. (Effective September 1, 2019, the fee will change to $55). Students must wait one month between attempts and only three attempts are allowed per academic year. Students will receive a printed copy of their score report upon completion.

In response to global health concerns regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), the HESI A2 will be proctored remotely online. The HESI is scheduled on an individual basis during testing hours, but spaces are very limited. All students who wish to take the HESI must first register online through Evolve. Students will need log-in credentials to test.

Non-ACU students are welcome to take the HESI at ACU. The price will vary and it is the student's responsibility to know which sections of the HESI are required.
