COBA Scholarship
The College of Business Administration scholarships typically range from $1,000-2,000 per year. COBA scholarships are not available for summer sessions. COBA offers a select number of scholarships for students who have met the requirements for admission into the College of Business.

Applications for the 2018-19 academic year will be accepted from January 2, 2018 through April 1, 2018. After this time, applications will be reviewed and award decisions will be communicated by May 1, 2018.

Please note, this application is for current business students and excludes entering freshmen and transfer students

Current ACU students may apply for the College of Business Administration (COBA) scholarships if the following requirements are met:

  • Minimum 3.25 overall GPA
  • At least 42 collegiate hours earned
  • Declared business major
  • Have financial need

 

COBA Global Scholarships
Policies and Procedures

Eligibility
COBA Global Scholarships are intended to support ACU students who participate in COBA sponsored study abroad programs. Applicants must be enrolled at ACU and in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. Applicants must be in good standing with the University and ACU Student Life. Individual programs and courses may have additional prerequisites and requirements. Applicants must meet the prerequisites or obtain a waiver or course substitution approval in order to be considered as a scholarship applicant. COBA Global Scholarships are awarded contingent upon student application, acceptance and payment of deposit. Awards will only be made to students who participate in the program for which they seek scholarship support. Students who withdraw from the study abroad program prior to departure will not receive COBA Global scholarship funds. Students who are disqualified from the program for academic or behavioral reasons while the semester is in progress will be responsible for repaying the award money.

Application
COBA Global Scholarship applications are completed online (see below). The deadline to apply for a summer 2016 COBA Global Scholarship has passed. Current, enrolled students will be able to apply for this scholarship in the fall semester of 2016. Applications for December / January programs are due by 5:00 p.m. September 30 of each year. Application to study abroad or study abroad scholarships do not guarantee admission.

Review and Selection
All application components must be completed prior to the due date in order to be considered. Applicants must meet the eligibility standards in order to be considered. The director of COBA Global will convene a team of two or more faculty / staff from the ACU COBA to review the applications. Awards will be made based on the quality of the application, considering academic accomplishments, COBA activities, and financial need. A student need not qualify on all criterion to receive an award. Award preference will be given to business majors at the request of the donors. All awards are conditional upon acceptance and participation in the program.
