ACU Academic Scholarships for Transfer Students
Merit-Based Awards for the 2020-2021 School Year
These awards are for undergraduate students transferring to ACU to complete their first Bachelor's degree. They are awarded based on cumulative GPA from all previous colleges. Admitted students will be notified of their scholarship level at the time of acceptance.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Students that are members of the Phi Theta Kappa honors society will receive a $1,000 renewable scholarship. The scholarship is valid for up to three annual block tuition plans while pursuing your first undergraduate degree and cannot be used for classes outside of annual block tuition.
No application is required. Please provide your Phi Theta Kappa certificate or membership number to your admissions counselor to claim this award.
Need-Based Grants
To be considered for need-based grants, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning October 1st prior to your enrollment at ACU. The FAFSA will be used to determine your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Once ACU receives your FAFSA, you will be considered for need-based federal, state and institutional grants. Need-based grants will be communicated to students on their award letters, which are sent to admitted students in the spring, each year.

Scouting Scholarship
ACU offers a $1,000 scholarship for students who have obtained any of the following achievements through the Boy Scouts of America or Girl Scouts USA: Eagle Scout, Venturing Silver, Sea Scouting Quartermaster, Gold Award or the American Heritage Girls Stars and Stripes.

SITC Scholarship
The School of Information Technology and Computing awards scholarships in varying amounts to a select number of incoming freshmen and transfer students each year. Scholarship applicants must declare a major in Computer Science, Computer Science/Math Teaching or Digital Entertainment Technology (DET).

Transfer Partner Award
This award provides scholarship opportunities for students transferring directly from Cisco College, Collin County College or a Tarrant County College Campus. The award is valid for up to 7 long semesters while enrolled full time and pursuing a first undergraduate degree. This cannot be used outside of annual block tuition hours.
No application is required. Please provide your official college transcript to your admissions counselor to claim this award.
Athletics
ACU is a member of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference. Athletic scholarships vary in amount and are determined by the NCAA and head coach of each sport. To inquire about availability, complete a prospect questionnaire.
Bible, Missions and Ministry Scholarship
Students majoring in Bible and Ministry or Ministry and Vocation are eligible to apply for the Bible, Missions and Ministry scholarship.

Christian Colleges*
All dependent Children of full-time employees at Church of Christ Universities are guaranteed a minimum of 50% off of tuition, when coordinated with other institutional aid.

Church Match
ACU will match church gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $500 per year. Simply complete our church match form and submit it, with payment, to your admissions counselor.

Missionary Dependent*
Children of full-time Church of Christ supported missionaries, serving in a foreign field, are guaranteed 75% off of tuition, when combined with all other gift aid from federal, state and institutional sources.

Music Scholarships
Scholarships are available for all students from the music department for the Bands, Choirs, and Orchestra, as well as participation scholarships for the Big Purple Marching Band.

NCSA and Christian School Faculty/Staff Scholarship*
All dependent children of full-time employees of the National Christian School Association (NSCA) member schools are eligible to apply for this scholarship. This scholarship is valued at $5,000 per year for up to 4 years.

Tuition Exchange Programs*
ACU participates in the Tuition Exchange (TE) program, as well as the Coalition of Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) program. These are tuition benefit exchange programs between ACU and partner institutions. Deadline for application submission is January 1.

Veterans Administration (VA) Benefits
If you plan to use a VA benefit, or if you are a dependent of a servicemember who plans to transfer their benefit to you, begin the process of exploring your benefit options by visiting our Veterans Affairs web page. On the Veterans Affairs web page, you will notice there is an overview of benefit programs, Frequently Asked Questions and a Veterans Information Sheet, which is required each year for all students who plan to use VA Benefits at ACU.
