Apply to the Honors College

Students in the Honors College are eager for academic challenges combined with spiritual growth. Honors students actively prepare to impact the world as they bring academics together with their passions and calling.

The Honors College offers highly motivated students stimulating classes, opportunities to work with select faculty members, and the chance to do research projects in their major field. Students receive special advising, early registration, and coaching for prestigious scholarships.

How to Apply:

  1. Apply to Abilene Christian University and gain admittance.
  2. Submit the Honors College Application
  3. Acquire two academic references through the Honors application

Admissions Information:

Admission to the Honors College is competitive. Consideration will be given to the following:

  • Entrance exam scores (ACT/SAT)
  • High School GPA
  • Class rank
  • Other evidence of high aptitude and motivation, including academic accomplishments and extracurricular experiences as indicated on the university's application for admission
  • A writing score from either the student's SAT or ACT
  • A personal statement completed on the application for admission to the university
  • Two academic references

March 1 is the deadline for admission to the Honors College and enrollment in Honors classes for the fall semester for incoming freshmen and transfer students. Any applications submitted after March 1 will be considered for Honors enrollment in the following spring semester.

Students who are currently enrolled at ACU or are transferring to ACU from another undergraduate institution may contact the Honors College for instructions to apply.
