President Phil Schubert

Dr. Phil Schubert became the 11th president of Abilene Christian University on June 1, 2010. A 1991 graduate of ACU, he received his B.B.A. in accounting from ACU, an MBA from Duke University and an Ed.D. in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania.

With input from faculty, staff and the Board of Trustees, the University Leadership Team casts the vision for ACU, establishing broad direction and guiding the work.

The Faculty Senate facilitates meaningful dialog on matters of general faculty concern. It provides a readily accessible channel of communications and the exchange of information between the faculty and university leaders.

The Staff Senate facilitates meaningful dialog on matters of general staff concern. It provides a readily accessible channel of communications and the exchange of information between the staff and university leaders.

Past Presidents

Since its founding in 1906, ACU has been blessed with stable, visionary leadership, beginning with A.B. Barret, ACU’s founder and first president, who dreamed of establishing a Christian college in West Texas.
