Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders

The goal of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is to prepare students to pursue graduate study in communication disorders.

The Department is home to the Center for Speech and Language Disorders; an array of diagnostic and treatment services are provided by graduate students under the supervision of licensed or certified speech-language pathologists.

ACU's faculty of Christian scholars and professionals are the foundation for student success. Each faculty member is an expert in their field, and at building supportive relationships with ACU students.


Undergraduate Programs

The undergraduate program in Communication Sciences and Disorders lays the foundation for students to pursue graduate studies in speech-language pathology or audiology, which lead to certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Audiologist.


Graduate Programs

ACU’s Communication Sciences and Disorders Department offers a Master of Science (M.S.) in Speech-Language Pathology. The mission of the department is to equip students with knowledge and skills in speech-language pathology for ministry to individuals with communication disorders through a Christian world perspective.

Accrediting Body: This program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
