The technology resources you use in your residence hall are commonly referred to as ResNet. Resources such as cable TV, phone service, and Internet access are all included when defining this term. If you can't access the network from your room please contact Team55 at Ext. 5555. You may also visit one of the labs on campus to get access to what you need.
You will need an ethernet card and/or a functional wireless card installed on your computer. Almost all modern Laptop Computers come with wireless cards and almost all modern Desktop Computers come with an ethernet connection. In order to connect to the wired network with and ethernet card, you will also need a Category 5 or better ethernet cable. These can be purchased at the ACU Campus Store or at most computer stores.
How much does this connection cost?
There are NO additional charges for using either the ethernet or wireless connection on campus.
What if I am not getting all the CableTV channels?
In order to get all the cable channels you must make sure your TV is set to cable mode. Most TVs allow you to change this setting from your remote control. Once you have your TV set properly make sure you scan for new channels. If you have any problems contact Team55 at (325) 674-5555. Get a list of CableTV channels here.
