Where are computers available on campus?

There are computer labs stationed all over campus for general student use. Team 55 supports computer labs located in the Residence halls and the Library.

When are computers available?

The Residential computer labs are open 24 hours a day to residents of the halls. They are open to the general student after the exterior doors unlock in the mornings and until curfew.  There are over one-hundred computers located in the Learning Commons for students to use and are available while the Library is open.

I live off campus. What kind of internet access can I get?

Off campus students can access the internet by setting up a dialup connection. Printed instructions are available in the Team55 office or you can view them from our dialup instructions page.

What is myACU?

MyACU is a new portal that has combined many features of the ACU circuit. In MyACU, there are many direct connections to a plethora of options. Some of the options include your email, account status, home folders (accessible on and off campus) and much more!

How do I forward my email?

If you log into my.acu.edu and click on the mail tab, your email folder will come up. At the top left-hand portion of the browser window, the words "Web Mail" and "Forward" will appear. Click on "Forward". Once the page has loaded, follow the instructions and your mail will be forwarded to the new address.

Ethernet Cards

You will need to purchase an ethernet card and a category 5 ethernet cable for your computer before you can configure  your system.  Check to make sure you don't already have an ethernet card before you buy one.

Desktop PC compatible cards:

  • PCI Bus 3Com (3C905 TXB)
  • ISA Bus 3Com (3C509 TP-D)

Laptop PC compatible cards:

  • PCMCIA Ethernet Only (3C589 E1)
  • PCMCIA Ethernet Combo (3CXEM556 B1)

Macintosh compatible cards:

Asante     Farallon     Apple     3Com

Most Macintosh computers already have an Ethernet card built into the system. Look for the Ethernet symbol (<…>) on the back of your computer. If your cable is not compatible with the port on your computer, you will need to purchase a 10baseT transceiver.  For older Macintosh OS's you must have Open transport 1.12 or greater.
