Voice Mail Message of the Day

Policy
Voice mail “message of the day” will be limited to necessary events that apply to a significant percentage of the audience on campus. Message of the day reaches every on campus phone, which belongs to either employees or students of the university. Message of the day will not include sales, celebrations/parties, etc. the Director of Technology Support Services has the right to decline requests based on the new policy. The message of the day is to be emailed to the Director of Technology Support Services and must be 25 words or less. The email message must read exactly how the sender intends it to be on voice mail.
Overview of Issue
There have been an overwhelming number of message of the days that are requested each week. This new policy will allow Technology Support Services to use the message of the day for more emergency type situations.
Change Control
This policy may be changed by review of the CIO council.
