Launched in 2008, ACU Connected is a pioneering one-to-one that gives every student an iPhone or iPod touch as a platform for exploring next-wave mobile learning.
Developed from ACU Connected, we provide 21st century professional development to educators in K-20. Our approach is based on social connection and dialogue, participation and creation, immediacy and context, real world engagement.
Possibly the largest one-to-one deployment in the nation; more than 25,000 students – from high school seniors down to kindergarten – receiving an iPad or iPod touch.
Transforming learning in the classroom, campus, and community - a culture change while leveraging a teacher's expertise. This is McAllen's program of instructional technology, coupled with student-centered, inquiry-based learning.
