ACU Connected

In a world of search engines, social networking, and mobile computers, students have access to more information than one could process in a lifetime. At ACU, we are training students to not merely consume these vast amounts of information, but to assess information, to synthesize thoughts, to generate new ideas, and to contribute meaningfully to conversations of global importance. We are exploring how these technologies can be used to help people learn in new ways. And we are discovering how these tools can aid us in our mission to educate students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world.

TEDx Dubai Presentation

ACU's Dr. William Rankin presentation of "Building Small: Considering the Architectures of Learning" at TEDx Dubai was inspiring according to feedback on Twitter. The event -- The Beauty of Small Things -- was held at the Dubai World Trade Center. Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.
