ACU named Campus Technology Innovator in Mobile Learning
... More News
Mobile technology is shaping the way we live, work and learn at ACU. Since education can now take place in the classroom or virtually anywhere, we are committed to exploring mobile learning technology that makes sense for our students and their future.
In the fall of 2008, ACU became the first university to distribute Apple iPhones and iPod Touches to the incoming freshman class, allowing us to explore a new vision for mobile learning. Now all freshmen and their teachers are able to integrate technology and learning both in and out of the classroom. The initiative began in the fall with the introduction of a portal, ACU Mobile, to help connect students to the campus through news and calendars, course documents and media, in-class surveys and polls.
This spring ACU will host the ConnectEd mobile learning summit for campuses deploying iPhone and iPod Touch focused applications, portals, and initiatives in higher education. Whether you've just started thinking about mLearning or are a leader in the field, please join us as we work together to inspire, innovate, and implement.
