The Web Integration and Programming (WIP) group provides overall direction to web strategy at ACU, working closely with University Relations primarily for audiences outside ACU and other departments in Information Services primarily for internal audiences.
Services Provided
As its name implies, WIP creates custom programs for the university but also integrates existing or purchased programs. The emphasis is increasingly on unifying access for ACU students and employees through a single interface.
In addition to web duties, WIP provides second-tier support for Blackboard, our own E-Class system, email, calendar, forums, myACU, and other related systems. Finally, WIP provides system administration for Windows and Unix-based servers.
How Projects are Selected
Projects are determined by an executive group comprised of the executive vice president, the provost, the vice president for development, the chief information officer, the director of WIP, and the Associate CIO. Projects that this group determines to be of strategic importance are scheduled on a quarterly basis. Call James Langford at 325-674-2855 to discuss a project idea.
