Formal

Formal is a social that is unique from all the rest.  This is a time for GATAs to really shine in their formal attire.  As the social director’s largest event of the year, formal includes an evening with pictures, an eloquent dinner, and entertainment.  Formal is also the time for announcing the officers for the next year and the awarding of that year’s GATA Beau. 

Coordinated by GATA social director, Callie Avens, the most recent formal took place in April of 2007. The event took place out of town this year. GATA and their dates enjoyed dinner at Cacharel in Arlington and then attending a Rangers game. After the winning game, the group enjoyed watching fireworks. The new officers for the 2007 - 08 were announced as well, and the group watched a slideshow presentation of the year's events.
