ACU to host pair of matches

Wildcats will take on WBU, SW Baptist

ABILENE -- The ACU Wildcats will finally get the home portion of their 2005 season started Saturday when they take on a pair of non-conference opponents at Moody Coliseum.

ACU will play Wayland Baptist University at 12:30 p.m., followed by a 5:30 p.m. match against Southwest Baptist.  The Bearcats of Southwest Baptist are coached by former ACU assistant coach Leslie Howe.

The Wildcats are 4-3 on the season after going 4-0 and winning the tournament championship at last weekend's Premier Challenge in Denver.  ACU is ranked No. 19 in the nation in the latest American Volleyball Coaches' Association poll, the first time the Wildcats have ever been ranked nationally.
