Shannon Cooke

Team Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Cooke is originally from Kermit, Texas. He completed his undergraduate work in biology, graduating with high honors from the University of Texas in Austin.

Dr. Cooke earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He served both his internship and his orthopaedic residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

His accomplishments include professional journal publication and medical conference presentation before his peers. Professional organization memberships include the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Cooke serves the 9021st Air Reserve Squadron attached to the 8th Medical Group, Dyess AFB, Texas. He is also a member of the Trauma Review Committee at Hendrick Medical Center, here in Abilene.

Before joining our practice, Dr. Cooke was Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon, 325th Medical Operations Squadron,Tyndall, AFB, Florida, until September, 1997.
