ACU set to open 2004-05 season

Annual Wal-Mart Open will showcase nine teams in Abilene

ABILENE -- The ACU men's and women's tennis teams will begin the 2004-05 season this weekend when they host the annual ACU Wal-Mart Open at four sites across the city, including the Eager Tennis Center on the ACU campus.

Also hosting matches will be the Rose Park Tennis Center, Streich Tennis Center at Hardin-Simmons and the courts at McMurry University.

Nine schools will be represented in the individual tournament, which begins at 8 a.m. Friday and will conclude in the late afternoon Saturday.  For more about the ACU men's and women's teams, click here.
