ABILENE -- The Abilene Christian University men's basketball program has signed its second player to a national letter-of-intent, adding Richardson Berkner center Brooks Norman during the April signing period.
Norman joins Jim Ned star Cam Holson as the Wildcats' two high school signees.
Norman, a 6-8, 220-pound center/forward, was an honorable mention all-District 10-5A selection as a senior after averaging 7.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. He shot 68 percent from the floor and 87 percent from the free throw line for a Berkner team that finished the season 26-5, won the 10-5A title and was eliminated from the state playoffs in the regional semifinals. Atwo-time team captain, Norman has already been awarded a half President's Scholarship to ACU.
Holson led the Indians of Jim Ned to the Class 2A state tournament last month in Austin where they finished as the runner-up. A first team all-state selection, the 6-5 forward finished his career with 2,147 points and 1,245 rebounds.
