- Assume that a page of double-spaced, typed material, in a standard font, takes about two minutes to read, without any extemporaneous comments added during the reading. This means that it takes fifteen minutes to read seven and one-half pages and twenty minutes to read ten pages.
- Please plan to rigidly follow the 15-20 minute per paper time limit.
- Session organizers should be modest in their plans for including speakers and keep in mind that at least fifteen minutes of each session should be reserved for discussion. A seventy-five-minute session therefore allows one hour for presentations and can accommodate three speakers, along with the chair’s introductions. A respondent should count as one of the three speakers. More presenters or respondents can participate only if the length of the individual presentations is reduced.
- Deadlines: Once session organizers have selected abstracts, presenters should be notified by April 30th, and the session solidified by May 15th. Early registrations are due by September 1st. All presenters and session chairs MUST be members of CCL.
- Presenters are responsible for their own photocopying; requests for audio-visual equipment need to reach the session organizers by July 15th.
