Leadership Oasis: A Brief Retreat for Elders and Their Wives

May 31 - June 1, 2013
Hunter Welcome Center at ACU
$79 (includes lunches, dinner, materials)

This retreat for leadership couples is designed to provide a context for encouragement, discussion of relevant issues and responses, and networking with other leadership couples. The goal is to encourage elders and their wives in their own marriage and in their mutual ministry within their congregations. The retreat will be informal and informative, with plenty of time for discussion. Any congregational elders and their wives are welcome to attend.

Rest Stop: Renewal for Ministry Couples

July 8-10, 2013

This retreat for leadership couples is designed to provide a context for encouragement, discussion of relevant issues and responses, and networking with other leadership couples. The goal is to encourage elders and their wives in their own marriage and in their mutual ministry within their congregations. The retreat will be informal and informative, with plenty of time for discussion. Any couples in which at least one is in full-time congregational ministry are welcome to attend.

Retreat Leaders

Dr. Royce Money is Chancellor of Abilene Christian University, after serving 19 years as president. He is also the founding executive director of the Siburt Institute for Church Ministry at ACU. He and Pam came to ACU in 1981, after 14 years of congregational ministry, and Royce served in various teaching and administrative positions in the College of Biblical Studies. He has also been an elder for several years.

Pam is a gifted teacher and counselor, having graduate degrees and professional experience both in education and in marriage and family therapy. Royce and Pam have taught as a team in numerous conferences and church settings on topics including leadership, marriage, parenting, and training of lay counselors. They have two married daughters and five grandchildren.

Royce and Pam will be inviting various guests who are experts in the field of leadership and pastoral care into some of our sessions.
