Spring Semester Begins Monday at ACU

for immediate release Jan. 8, 1998

Classes at Abilene Christian University resume Monday, Jan. 12, for the spring semester.

Although current ACU students register for spring classes during the previous October, undergraduate students must finalize their enrollments by "checking in" at the Enrollment Service Center set up in the McGlothlin Campus Center by 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Enrollment Service Center will be open Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. A $50 fee will be charged to students who enroll after Sunday.

Additional services available at the ESC include confirming housing arrangements; purchasing a meal plan or yearbook; completing necessary financial aid forms; obtaining an ID card, long distance phone service or parking permit; or turning in completed health forms.

Graduate students whose ACU accounts are up-to-date, may "check in" by calling the Graduate School office at 674-2354 by Friday, Jan. 9.

"We expect an enrollment increase this spring of more than 100 students compared to last spring," said Jack Rich, executive vice president. "Total enrollment in spring 1997 was 4,112, so we expect to enroll well in excess of 4,000 students again."
