CONTACT: Army: Sgt. Darla Dudley or Senior Administrator Tom Frederick at 692-0877 or ACU: Malissa Endsley at 674-2692 (work) or 672-2701 (home).

DETAILS: Troops were deployed Dec. 1. This rotation should be home in mid-July. This reserve unit performs a variety of civil duties and community relations in Bosnia. They helped run the elections, assist the mayor, survey damage to hospitals, and visit orphanages. Major Jane Masters has even been performing puppet shows for schoolchildren. The main purpose of the interactive classroom facility where the videoconference will take place is academic - offering selected ACU classes to students at other locations and classes at other locations to ACU students here. However, the university is very pleased to be able to offer this community service to our troops and their families.
