Satellite Videoconference To Help with Financial Aid Forms

for immediate release Feb. 3, 1998

High school seniors planning to attend college and their parents are invited to a free videoconference showing step-by-step instructions on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Thursday, Feb. 5, at Abilene Christian University.

The statewide satellite broadcast will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Walling Lecture Hall of the Foster Science Building. Refreshments will be served and financial aid counselors will be available to answer any other questions viewers may have.

Completing the FAFSA is the first essential step in the federal financial aid application process. The Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation (TGSLC), a public non-profit corporation created by the Texas Legislature to administer the Guaranteed Student Loan Program, is sponsoring the event.

"This vital information will make your college application more successful," said Gary West, director of ACU's Student Financial Services. "ACU is pleased to host this program in Abilene for TGSLC."
