WHO: Members of the national organization, Christians In Theatre Arts; ACU theatre students, faculty and alumni; and anyone interested in conveying spiritual messages through drama in public and church. Speakers include award-winning Hollywood production designer Nelson Coates.

WHAT: Christians In Theatre Arts Conference, themed "A Voice in the Darkness"

WHEN: Friday-Saturday, Feb. 27-28; see schedule for specific times

WHERE: Abilene Christian University; see schedule for specific places

WHY: CITA was organized in 1987 by a group of Christians meeting at Malone College in Canton, Ohio, for a summer drama conference. This group was concerned that an ongoing network of conferences and printed materials be available to Christian theatre artists, who they perceived to be laboring in relative isolation from one another.

HOW: The conference aims to recharge Christian artists creatively by sharing skills, meeting and encouraging each other, creating contacts and mentors, and enjoying excellent dramatic presentations.

CONTACT: Adam Hester, chair of ACU's Department of Theatre, at 674-2021.
