Health Services To Present AIDS Awareness Week

Health official Arthur Culpepper, a 1986 Abilene Christian University graduate, will be on the ACU campus Tuesday-Friday, Nov. 11-14, to offer presentations, provide information, and increase awareness and understanding of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.

Culpepper is the medical care administrator of the Infectious Disease and Control Bureau, New Mexico Department of Health. He has more than 10 years of experience in mental and public health education.

The following is the schedule of activities planned:

* Tuesday - Chapel presentation by Culpepper at 11 a.m. in Moody Coliseum He will be on campus all day.

* Wednesday - Sessions in Hilton Room at 8 and 9 a.m. and 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m. Luncheon in the Hilton Room from 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. Cost is $7.

* Thursday and Friday - Culpepper will be available in the McGlothlin Campus Center for interaction with interested people.

Some faculty will bring their classes to meet in the Hilton Room at the hours listed above.

The event is in conjunction with National AIDS Awareness Week, which is the first week in December. ACU's event is early because Culpepper was not available to come to Abilene in December.
