2024 Friends of ACU Library (FACUL) Dinner
Friends of ACU Library (FACUL) invites you to its spring fundraiser, A Love Letter to Leipzig, on Monday, April 22, at 6 p.m. in the Williams Performing Arts Center. Join us for an evening celebrating the city of Leipzig’s contributions to music, history, and the arts. We will also celebrate ACU’s relationship with Leipzig through our Study Abroad program as we raise money to build a library reading room in the university’s historic villa that will inspire future generations of ACU students who live and study in our wonderful home there.
FACUL names Landon Saunders 2023 Friend of the Year
Landon Saunders has been president of Heartbeat, Inc. since 1971. A native of West Virginia, Saunders served as a minister in Churches of Christ in Arkansas and Tennessee before moving to Abilene in 1971. For several years, he was the minister at the Minter Lane Church of Christ in Abilene. Today, he is a resident of Norwich, Vermont, and in addition to being a frequent lecturer at churches and universities, he also serves on the board of the Yale University Center for Faith and Culture and as a Fellow of Caris Life Sciences Foundation.

Thus Saith the Lord: Thomas Campbell’s Declaration and Address
Located in the main display area of Special Collections and Archives, Thomas Campbell’s Declaration and Address is one of the rarest literary productions in all of American Christianity. Exhibited here is an exceptionally scarce first printing from 1809 along with specimens from the literature of the Restoration Movement about this foundational document.
Max Lucado Collection: Tell Me the Easter Story
Located in the Learning Commons Max Lucado Collection case is a new library exhibit called “Tell Me the Easter Story” that invites meditation during the Easter season on the passion of Jesus Christ and features seventeen works about the death and resurrection of Jesus written by Max Lucado between 1986 and 2013.
