Hank the Cowdog author John R. Erickson will speak March 25 at 6:30 p.m. in Abilene Christian University’s Hunter Welcome Center, as part of the Friends of the ACU library spring event.

Erickson, a Midland native, has published 75 books and more than 600 articles, but is best known for his middle-grade series featuring (and narrated by) Hank the Cowdog, who Erickson describes as “a smelly, smart-aleck Head of Ranch Security who gives readers a glimpse of daily life on a ranch in the West Texas Panhandle.”

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children 13 and younger. Proceeds from the event benefit the ACU Library. More than half of the 400 seats originally available already have been sold. Interested parties can purchase tickets online. You may also contact facul@acu.edu or call 325-674-4818.
