Dr. Carson Reed has been selected for an online listing of "100 Remarkable Professors & Scholars Theology Students Should Know About." The Theology Degrees Online list includes outstanding faculty members from other prestigious seminaries, including Harvard Divinity School, Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, Princeton Theological Seminary and Wake Forrest School of Divinity.
As director of the Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) program in ACU's Graduate School of Theology (GST), Reed recently led a yearlong program revision process involving GST and ACU faculty members, D.Min. students and alumni, faculty and staff members from ACU's Adams Center for Teaching and Learning, and two outside consultants. The revised D.Min. program emphasizes new commitments to spiritual formation, mentoring for students, contextualized courses held in a live and dynamic ministry contexts across the country and ways of fostering peer-learning through networks and online tools.
Reed is also an assistant professor of practical theology. In the classroom, Reed encourages students to discern the relationship between Scripture, church tradition, theology and community practices to live out in their ministerial leadership positions.
In addition to his academic work, Reed directs ElderLink, a series of conferences for elders and ministers. He also collaborates with the Siburt Institute for Church Ministry and has influenced eConnections, a new online education opportunity for the College of Biblical Studies.
