HIM and WWW awarded certification

Posted February 26, 2014 The Halbert Institute for Missions and its short-term missions program,
WorldWide Witness, have received certification from the Standards of
Excellence in Short-Term Missions. WWW is the first
Church of Christ-affiliated program to receive such accreditation.

Coordinators for WorldWide Witness Gary Green and Larry Henderson, both former missionaries, have worked for many years to build the program, combining superior pre-field preparation with outstanding global sites where qualified supervisors provide powerful mentoring.

"The accreditation by SOE is a tangible tribute to the outstanding work Green and Henderson have done," says Dr. Chris Flanders, director of the Halbert Institute.

SOE is an accrediting organization that develops and maintains a nationally derived set of standards and best practices for those who send, receive, facilitate and support short-term mission endeavors. Organizations displaying the top-tier SOE seal of accreditation meet or exceed the highest best practice standards established for short-term missions.
