Society for Human Resource Management recognizes ACU master's program

Posted December 09, 2013

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has recognized ACU’s master's program in organizational development for its full alignment, both in content and curriculum, with SHRM’s guidebook and templates. The guidebook defines the minimum content areas to be studied by HR students.

ACU’s Master of Science in Organization Development is a 36-hour online degree program focused on enhancing the practice of organizational leadership and human resource management for working professionals. The program offers classes in communication, psychology, management sciences, and conflict resolution.

“ACU has worked toward this for some time. The recognition by SHRM validates the direction and desires our faculty have had for the program for the past several years,” says Dr. Joe Cardot, professor and chair of the Department of Communication and Sociology at ACU.

SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. The society serves the needs of HR professionals and advances the interests of the HR profession. SHRM has more than 250,000 members in 140 countries and more than 575 affiliated chapters.
