Dr. Monty Lynn Appointed COBA’s New Chair of Management

Dr. Monty Lynn has held  many academic positions at ACU’s College of Business Administration over the past two decades. This fall, Lynn began his second appointment as the W.W. Caruth Chair of Owner-Managed Business in the College of Administration. Lynn’s first appointment in this position began in 1999.

This appointment is a three-year assignment and includes an annual stipend, research and travel budget, managed by Lynn for the benefit of ACU, COBA and his own professional areas of interest. “It is an honor to receive this title from COBA. I am excited to continue serving students and faculty through research, teaching and service,” says Lynn.

Dr. Rick Lytle, dean of COBA, praises Lynn’s work in the field of research and leadership. “He clearly exemplifies great leadership in COBA, the ACU community and beyond,” Lytle says. “This honor could not be given to anyone more deserving."

Lynn’s previous positions include associate dean, MBA Program Director, acting dean, chair of the Department of Management Sciences, and Fulbright Scholar.
