Fifth annual Undergrad Research Festival to highlight student research

Posted April 01, 2013

The fifth annual ACU Undergraduate Research Festival will be held Thursday, April 4, in the Hunter Welcome Center on the campus of Abilene Christian University. More than 100 students from ACU and McMurry University will give verbal and poster presentations of their original research on a wide variety of topics in the arts, humanities, social sciences, engineering, technology, science and mathematics.

The festival highlights the impressive efforts of many students who participate in real-world, hands-on research across multiple disciplines.

Students work with faculty members on research projects, often earning publication in scholarly journals and gaining experience prized by employers and graduate schools. At the festival, students will compete for prizes in the categories of paper and poster presentations, judged by faculty and staff.

See the Research Festival blog, blogs.acu.edu/researchfest, for more information and a full schedule of events, or contact Dr. Autumn Sutherlin, director of undergraduate research and associate professor of chemistry, at 325-674-6511.
