Four seniors earn recognition for outstanding leadership

Posted December 05, 2012

On Nov. 8 four ACU seniors were honored for exemplifying citizenship, character, leadership, scholastic achievement and community service. The awards came from the Breakfast Optimist Club, a local civic organization that honors outstanding students from area schools each year.

Four students chosen by ACU’s Student Life leadership team, based on nominations, received framed certificates. The students selected were:

  • Keith Carroll, senior marketing major
  • Elizabeth Chavez, senior psychology major
  • Masci Sledge, senior social work major
  • Nick Tatum, senior family studies major

"Members of the Student Life team work closely with students and have a keen understanding of which students are truly making an impact on our community,” says Jean-Noel Thompson, vice president for Student Life and dean of students. “I am thrilled that these students stand out as authentic leaders who make a real difference at ACU and beyond."
