Finalists announced for 2012 Springboard Ideas ChallengePosted April 09, 2012
The finalists have been chosen for ACU’s 2012 Springboard Ideas Challenge mini-business plan competition. The winning entrepreneurs will be announced at the awards dinner on Tuesday, April 17.
We are excited for the teams that have advanced to the final round of the competition. Later this week they will compete for cash and in-kind prizes valued at over $100,000," says Dr. Jim Litton, director of the Griggs Center for Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy.
Ten finalists were chosen in each of the college and community divisions. These contestants will advance to the final round of the competition, presenting their business plans before a panel of judges.
The goal of the annual competition, now in its fifth year, is to promote entrepreneurship in the Big Country and to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with the opportunity to come one step closer to launching their own venture. Teams of up to four members submit mini-business plans as if to potential investors.
The full list of finalists can be found on the Springboard Ideas Challenge website. The winners chosen from among these business plans will be honored at the awards dinner in the Hunter Welcome Center on April 17, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
The awards dinner will also feature guest speaker, Mr. William E. (Bill) Greehey, Chairman of NuStar Energy L.P., based in San Antonio, Texas. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online. Learn more about the Springboard Ideas Challenge.
