Bullington is BCA Hall of Fame inductee

When Wally Bullington drove his 1928 Model A into Abilene in 1949, he intended to play football at Abilene Christian for four years, then return home to Athens, Ala.

But life had other plans for Bullington. He met his wife, Valrie, at ACU (Abilene Christian College at the time). Bullington said that alone probably kept in the state. But Chuck Moser definitely kept him in Abilene — and what a ride that's been for Bullington, who will be inducted into the Big Country Athletic Hall of Fame on Monday.

"I feel it's a great honor," Bullington said of his induction. "We have some great coaches and athletes in there. Some of them were my mentors and compadres. I'm just honored to be going in."
