Posted April 11, 2011

LaQuiera Gantt, advisor for Educational Talent Search at ACU, has been selected as a 2011 Fellow by the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC).

"This is a great honor and we are proud of LaQuiera for being the person she is and receiving such an award," says Gayla Herrington, director of ACU's Educational Talent Search.

The TACAC's Human Relations Committee chooses the fellows each year, based on their work with students from under-represented populations, including TRIO, Gear-Up and other similar programs. Each fellow receives a complimentary one-year membership to TACAC and complimentary registration and hotel accommodations for the TACAC spring meeting.

The Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC) is a non-profit educational organization composed of secondary counselors, college admission counselors, independent educational consultants, and other educational professionals who work with students in their transition from high school to college, according to the TACAC website.
